Over the past three decades, the companies of Varsity have developed a top-rate preventative maintenance plan that keeps the fleet of more than 650 buses in prime operating condition. Varsity has long recognized that a quality preventative maintenance plan is essential to providing safe, first-class transportation services and reducing the rate of in-service breakdowns.

Regular inspections are an integral part of Varsity's intensive management program. All Varsity vehicles are inspected on a regular basis by the New York State Department of Transportation and the companies proudly maintains an inspection passing rate of 90% or better. All vehicle maintenance information is maintained on Varsity's advanced corporate computer network and is available for review by school districts upon request.

Varsity operates two modern maintenance facilities in New York City - one in Jackson Heights, Queens and the other in East New York, Brooklyn. In addition, to ensure that all of the companies' buses look as good as they run, Varsity recently installed a state-of-the-art bus washer at its Jackson Heights facility.
